Before ScholarLead

University Prep (also known as U Prep) is a free charter school in the Denver Public Schools system, which aims to prepare their scholars for college and pursue their dreams. For almost a decade, U Prep successfully relied on traditional methods for recruitment and enrollment. However, traditional methods were upended by the COVID-19 pandemic, which limited the ability of U Prep and schools like it to meet and engage with interested parents.​

After partnering with ScholarLead

ScholarLead partnered with U Prep in 2019 to modernize their enrollment strategy, resulting in four successful years (2020-2023). Through digital campaigns on:

  • Facebook and Google

  • Texting initiatives

  • Intake forms


we secured new parent leads. We implemented - our parent-relationship management system - automated messaging, and innovative tactics like Facebook Messenger ads. Our ongoing collaboration has led to year-over-year improvements, achieving 25% more impressions, 228% more leads, and a 46% lower investment per lead in our 2022 campaign compared to 2020.

Targeting Texting

We have sent thousands of text messages to interested parents in order to reach them where they are and immediately begin building a relationship.

Landing Page Development

We created a sticky landing page to monitor intake form submissions. This page allowed parents to express interest in learning more about U Prep, prompting the Enrollment Office to initiate enrollment conversations.

Targeted Traffic

By comprehending our audience, we ran highly targeted Facebook and Google ads, ensuring reach to parents seeking schools in Denver. In our 2022 campaign, a Facebook Awareness & Engagement effort attracted 1,959 parents to our website.
